Overview:

Responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Responsibilities • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and applications to include but not limited to: o Microsoft Office Suite o Adobe o Other line of business applications • Work closely with other team members to support client end users. • Respond to Service Desk tickets and alerts in a timely manner. • Other duties as requested

This individual will be part of our suburban Managed Services team. They will be required to travel throughout the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago

• Associates Degree or higher in IT relevant discipline (Preferred)
• 1-year IT relevant (Preferred)
• Able to work traditional business hours and weekends as needed • At least one of the following industry certifications or equivalent certifications (preferred) o Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate o CompTIA+ o Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC)

Technical Skills: PC Configuration and imaging (Windows 7 and 10) o Experience with On-Premise Active Directory or Azure Active Directory o Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. manipulating spreadsheets, setting up Outlook, PowerPoint slideshows, etc.) o Understanding of TCP/IP subnetting

Soft Skills: Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written o Attention to detail o Ability to prioritize and multitask multiple requests • Ability to work with little or no supervision

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and see. The employee may be required to sit for long periods of time and employee will be spending 90% of their time on a computer. The
employee will occasionally lift, push, or move up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Microsoft Systems Engineer- Level 3 Systems/0365 Migration Engineer-Chicago, IL

We are a Chicagoland based Managed Service Provider looking to add a Level 3 Systems Engineer to our growing staff. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Support Engineer that works well in team environments with outstanding customer interaction skills.

Additionally, this individual will:

  • Provide technical and operational support to coworkers.
  • Consults with management on project design/development needs.
  • Possess the ability to manage projects of moderate scope or complexity with no direction.
  • Personable with strong business acumen and the ability to understand the impact technology has on the business outcome and success.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Execute, manage and lead Office 365 customers thru the Onboarding process
  • At least 6 years of experience supporting Exchange Online and Microsoft O365
  • Experience with Exchange to Office 365 migrations
  • Advanced level understanding of email systems and routing architecture
  • Experience supporting O365 mailboxes, user accounts, enterprise exchnage policies and procedures
  • Advanced experience with PowerShell
  • Willingness to work directly and communicate effectively with customers in a variety of environments.
  • Experience with Public and or Private Cloud computing - AWS, AZURE is a plus

REQUIREMENTS

  • Hands-on experience implementing complete solutions and best practices
  • Working knowledge of Servers, Network, Active Directory, Virtualization and Data Backup
  • Problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box and work independently
  • Formal Education & Certification College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or information technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical Certifications are a plus
